About Edu
Edu Prado is a Dublin based Musician, Music Producer and Composer, originally from Curitiba/PR, Brazil.
Edu’s interest in music started quite early, as he started experimenting on his grandma’s old piano as a kid. From there, Edu began to study music theory, violin, and play the drums; then went to electric bass, acoustic guitar, piano, and singing. Around the age of thirteen music took a whole other meaning in his life, as he started composing, writing his own songs, and playing in bands.
He is graduated in Music Production and Composition and also holds a degree in Industrial Mechatronics. In 2014, he released his first music album called Sightfolded, entirely produced by himself in his home studio. Since 2012 he has run his own company working with audio and video production.
Edu moved to Dublin in 2017 to pursue a masters in Scoring for Film and Visual Media, and since has been working with music for TV Series and Films, producing Irish artists, and also working as the Audio and Mixing Engineer in orchestral recordings and many opera productions with the Irish National Opera, such as Gerald Barry – Alice Underground Adventures, J. Strauss – Elektra, 20 Shots of Opera, Amanda Feery – A Thing I Cannot Name, and much more.
Edu Prado also creates his own sounds and sample libraries, to bring life and authenticity to his music and projects. In 2020 he started sharing his virtual instruments as Edu Prado Sounds.
Edu has a YouTube channel where he likes to post music videos, covers, and creative videos, such as making music with only a Notebook, or playing songs using Peppers! His goal is to inspire people to see things differently and be creative.
Edu is passionate about music and visual media not only for its power to help tell stories and convey emotions but also because it can deeply impact people’s lives, and that’s what he aspires to achieve with his music.
